King Protea Services was founded by Dirk Isak Smit on a simple idea: the person whose name is on the door should be the one cooking your food. Dirk is a Head Chef with 12 years’ experience across demanding catering environments — menu design, food and beverage management, quality and standards, and training and development.
Our strength is being a service company run by professionals with an intimate knowledge of the culinary, hospitality and large-scale catering industry.
We take what you need and combine it with our culinary knowledge to create dishes that are healthy, tasty and cost-effective, for any setting.
Once we have your brief we consult internally to shape the best concept for you, and bring it to life through creative thinking.
